Tampere is located in southern Finland and is easily accessible by plane, train, bus and car. The city is situated approximately 180 km north‑west of Helsinki and 160 km north‑east of Turku. 

Helsinki Airport (HEL) is Finland’s main airport and offers extensive international connections. From Helsinki Airport, Tampere can be reached conveniently by car, train or bus. The airport has its own train station only minutes away from baggage claim area. Tampere also has a regional airport (TMP) serviced by Finnair and Air Baltic. 

Finland can be easily reached by car ferry from Sweden, Estonia or Germany that bring you to Turku or Helsinki.
Tampere is one of Finland’s main railway hubs, with frequent direct services from cities from all directions. Tampere railway station is located in the city center. Travel time by train both from Helsinki and Turku is about 1,5 hours with frequent service schedules.
 

The city is also easily reachable by car from all directions. Driving time from both Helsinki and Turku is 1,5-2 hours.
